Fourteen Days – Two Countries – Off Road Only - 5 to 20 December 2024
Join Paisan and Grace for an epic off road exploration across Thailand’s mountainous north east and into the remote far north of Laos, from 5 to 21 December 2024. Starting from Chiang Mai, we’ll thread our way between the villages and national parks of northern Thailand until we reach the Golden Triangle and the mighty Mekong River. From there, we’ll cross into Laos and back in time to a place where villages are connected by single track and by river. This tour is not a five star holiday – it’s an exploration through remote and humble places, and a dirt biker’s dream. You’ll need solid off road riding experience, including single track, plus a good level of fitness and a sense of adventure. Most nights will be spent in simple guest houses – mostly single occupancy but occasionally twin share. The food will be local; the beverages will be plentiful, if not always cold. We’ll carry our gear with us and tackle the single track as a team. We’re headed for tracks that are not on any map.
You’ll be supported by Grace and Paisan, plus additional Lao and Thai guides. Between us, we speak English, Thai, Lanna, Lao and many of the local dialects of the region.
The off road tour runs for 15 days, starting in Chiang Mai and finishing in Chiang Khong, Thailand, with intermittant rest days. On the final day, 20 December, we will do a day on-road as we make the last leg back to Chiang Mai.
If you love riding off road and exploring remote corners of south east Asia, this tour is for you.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the motorcycle is compliant with Laotian border requirements. We recommend purchasing Lao insurance at the Laos border.
